Snow Fences of the Divide
Hadsell, Wyoming - September 1999
Incessant winds make snow fences an integral
part of the Wyoming landscape, protecting ranches,
highways, and trains from debilitating snowdrifts. This
weathered and battered snow fence has seen its share of
drifts making it worthy of highlighting an eastbound
mixed freight early on a Sunday morning as it snakes
through the expanse of the Great Divide Basin.
