Green River Bridge
Green River, Wyoming - September 2005
Towering cliffs of Tower sandstone, of which Castle Rock
is a distinguishing formation, dominate the landscape
in the city of Green River, Wyoming. In contrast to the unyielding rock,
it was the water of the free-flowing, and dependable, Green River
more than anything else that led to the creation
of the Green River City when the railroad went through in 1868.
